birthdays

Our little monkey is one month old today!! I cannot believe it! We brought her to the pediatrician today for her wellness check-up, and she is doing great, just as we suspected. She has gained over a pound from just two weeks ago, now weighing in at 9 lbs. 11 oz. Her height is still the same (21.75"), which makes sense since she was freakishly tall last time they measured her. After crying a bunch and practically rolling herself over when she was placed on her belly, she was declared "opinionated" and "strong" by the doctor. I would have to agree!

My dad flew in last night and he and my mom leave super early Sunday morning. I know I was able to deal on my own before they came to visit, but I have grown so accustomed to my mother's help these past two weeks that I am now petrified to go it alone. Even though I revert into a bratty 13 year-old every time I'm around my mom for an extended period of time (and this time was no exception), I am going to miss her (and her help) so much!

I should also add that yesterday was my little sister's birthday - she's 29! Talk about time flying by too fast! Happy birthday, little sis! I love you so much!
