two months today!

Has it really been two months since my Ellie bean was born? In a way, it seems like the time's gone way too fast, but in a way, it also feels like it's been a lifetime! So, what is our two month old up to? She is still a moody little girl who cries a lot when she wants to:

...but she's also becoming more and more interactive with extended periods of "happy" time:

When she smiles, laughs, and tries to talk to me, I get so excited, happy, and teary that it makes up for all the lost sleep and achy arms. What a heart-melter she is! And the other night, she slept from 10:30pm to 6:15am without waking to feed - that's nearly 8 hours, people! (Of course, last night we had no such luck!)

Since the two of us go a little stir crazy in the house all day, we've been trying to get out more. Last week, we went to visit my friend and coworker Jennifer and her three month old Ava Claire:

We also took a trip to see some friends at the library. Here she is with the Circulation department, who gave her lots of love and attention. She was so serious while she was there. It was rather amusing watching her study all these new people with such an intent look on her face:
