This past weekend, I was without Elliott for the very first time. I had to work the annual Storytelling Festival, and Ryan's homecoming in Spur, which is five hours away, fell on the same weekend. He doesn't usually show up for homecoming, but this year a few of his classmates were actually getting together so he decided to join them. I was so forlorn! Not only would I be without my dear husband, but my baby wouldn't be here with me either. When we parted on Friday morning, I started sobbing. Granted, they would be back the following night, and I would be super busy with work, but the situation was still hard on me.
When they returned last night, I was completely beat from a long, cold (and wet!) day working the craft tents at the Festival. I was so thrilled to see them again, safe and sound, and I don't think I ever hugged and kissed my baby girl so much! Here are a few pictures from their adventures without me:
My new favorite picture of her! (10/9)
More proof that Ryan is turning her into a video game addict! (10/10)
Doesn't she look like such a little girl in her jacket? (10/10)
Dad and baby at the homecoming parade (10/10)
Awww, you poor thing!! I would have been sobbing too!! I don't think I would have been able to do it, you're not the only one who would have been forlorn.
