first birthday fun!

Elliott, Ryan, and I are officially birthday-celebrated out, and have consumed far too much sugar in the past week. In this video, Ellie gets her first taste of brownie at Christina's, where we (along with Ryan's parents) chowed down on Mexican food for birthday celebration #1. She sure seemed to enjoy the chocolate!

And here she is yesterday during birthday celebration #2 with our family, feeding herself some chocolate and vanilla cake that Ryan baked just for her (after I tearfully destroyed the first cake mix by forgetting to add water!)

Here's Ellie in her puffy little birthday dress from my mom. She was so darn cute opening up her presents and playing with the wooden xylophone I got her.

All in all, Elliott had a wonderful first birthday. We were so glad to have the family all together, especially since we are leaving Texas so soon. We sure are going to miss everyone, but know we will keep in touch and see them as much as we can. We love you guys - thanks for making Elliott's birthday so special!
