Even though we're out of TX and 100+ degree weather, it's so darn humid here that we've been staying mostly indoors. When we do go outside for a quick errand, even early in the morning during the "coolest" time of day, we're so sweaty and nasty within mere minutes that I swear we're not going to venture out again until the humidity goes away. Yeah, right. This is Washington, D.C., where apparently the humidity
never goes away! Ellie and I are going a bit stir crazy, but you will see that she has discovered some unique ways to keep herself entertained.

Not only does she sometimes enjoy getting into her cabinet, but she also delights in emptying out random boxes and bins and then climbing into them. The fun gets even better if I pull her around the apartment on a rather lame little "train ride." Oh, the joys of toddlerhood!

Those pics and video are great. Yesterday and today were the first few times that I looked at her framed pictures and she looked so young. I cannot believe how big and independent she is now. As for the walking, sounds like she takes after her mommy. Weren't you little miss perfectionist who was too self conscious to walk and so you would do it while nobody was looking...? At least she had the guts to do it in front of you! Just kidding. Mwuah to all!
