Last Thursday, Elliott turned 15 months old, meaning she is one and a quarter years old already! I have to say, so far this is my favorite phase of her's. She is so interactive now, saying a few words like "hi," "yum," "duck," "Fffffu" (for Fudge), "this," "that," "Jack" (her favorite show), and her old standby, "Dadda" - but she hardly ever says Mamma, unless she is really pissed off. She's been signing for a few months now, though I've only taught her a few words ("more," and "again" are pretty much it, but I love when she signs them!) She is obsessed with books, and we have borrowed our fair share from the neighborhood library. This obviously makes the librarian in me proud! She walks around all over the place, and even runs when being chased (she will chase us, too.) She makes up special missions to accomplish, like taking all her shapes from their shape-sorter box and putting them in a little compartment in her scooter. She laughs more and gives us huge hugs and kisses when we ask for one (if she's in the mood, that is!) She is also great at brushing her teeth every night (and she now has so many, I've lost count), and she obligingly lets us finish the job for her. Words just can't express how cute and funny our little monkey is becoming!

Just being herself! (8/14)Here she is playing with the tea set Ryan was intent on buying her. I love how she pretends to take sips from every cup and plate and also shares with us. In this video, she even says "yum" and rubs her tummy after one tasty sip, and blows kisses at the end!
Tea time! 8/15And yes, my hair is still the same as last week, only longer (meaning it sticks up even farther!) And I'm still stuck wearing glasses, which I'm getting pretty sick of. Anyway, here's my head at five weeks post buzz:
5 weeks and defying gravity (despite my best efforts!)
Our nephew Chas from Texas is coming to visit tonight, and we're really excited to have him with us in DC for a few days. Here's hoping the moody, muggy weather holds out so we can actually do some of the things on our list, like the National Zoo (of course) and the beach!
I love it! I am so happy to be getting there within the month as it is so overdue! I would like to request some more videos please! That first pic of her that you sent me on my phone is my background on my mobile. She is so pretty! Just like her mommy :)
