It's gotten COLD out there, baby! So cold, in fact, that we broke down and bought Elliott a proper winter coat (or, as she likes to say, "coke") - as well as a hat and mittens. She sure is warm in her winter get-up, but maybe not so happy. Dressing her in her coat usually results in whines and tears. Here is a funny video of Elliott in her new coat before heading out to the playground this past Friday with Daddy. (She thought I was taking a picture, so that's why it starts out with her saying "cheese!")

Happily, she doesn't seem to mind the hat and and mittens, which don't have a thumb attachment, and hence look rather funny! Here she is this morning sporting her fleece jester-style hat. How snuggly does she look?!
Cute! It's still mild enough here that we just put a sweater on Sim. And, if we're going out to look at Christmas lights after dark, we add a hat on his head and socks on his hands. The socks keep his hands warm AND prevent him from removing the hat!

ReplyDeleteThat is SOOOO funny!! Isabella HATES wearing a coat or jacket!! I keep telling her summer is over but look what Texas has done to her-the concept of being cold doesn't even exist! She still thinks she can wear shorts and flip flops...oh this winter is going to be a struggle. :/
