My littlest munchkin turned 4 months old today! She tires me out (actually, her sister tires me out more!), but I could just eat her up, she's so darn cute! She is always ready with a big smile (and an accompanying snort), and though she doesn't do too much babbling, she does like to make various grunting noises while "talking" to us. She laughed once or twice at the beginning of the month, but that sadly is a skill she has put on the back-burner for now. Lately she's been chewing on everything she can get her tiny little hands on, and her favorite toy is probably Sophie the squeaky rubber giraffe (see below). She's not a fan of tummy time, so she immediately rolls over onto her back, and she's almost got the back-to-front thing fully down (though she's usually not very motivated to do so!) She also has an apparent affinity for Elmo. As soon as she hears him when Ellie is watching
Sesame Street, she cranes her neck in the most extreme positions and/or rolls over so she can get a view of everyone's favorite little red monster. Zoey still won't take a nap that lasts longer than 30 minutes, but she fortunately sleeps like a champ at night, and I thank my lucky stars for that! Here are some recent pics of my little sweetie pie:
She's already in love with her big sis!
Ryan doesn't see the resemblance. (I think he's crazy!)
On her first trip to the National Zoo. Those eyes are still bright blue!
These pics of her and Sophie from this morning just crack me up!
Here's a little video of Zoey and Ellie hanging out together. They get along so well, and it makes me so happy when I see Elliott doting on her little sister and Zoey watching her big sister like she's her hero!
Zoey is Ryan 2.0!
ReplyDeleteGreat photos!
ReplyDeleteI LOVE THAT VIDEO! It's so cute to see them together and so in love. When I was home, I think Ellie was so preoccupied with Christmas and visitors (including myself) that I didn't get to witness too much doting. TOO SWEET! And the picture of Zoey and Ryan is great (YES THERE IS A RESEMBLANCE!!!!!). That little face and the way she is looking at the camera reminds me of every time she looked at me. She would have her little head turned around just quietly looking at you with that adorable face (and you know how I feel about the adorable profile!) and then she's get that little smile...love.
