first tooth! (and other stuff)

We discovered Zoey's first tooth this morning! She has been chewing on things like crazy lately (well, for at least a month now) so we suspected she was working on a tooth, and this morning I felt a little sharp one coming through on the bottom right side. Sure enough, when she actually let us catch a glimpse inside her mouth, there was the beginning of a little tooth, her very first! When I excitedly told Elliott that "Zoey is growing a tooth!" she grinned and said, "Baby Zoey is growing up, Mommy." Oh, my little girls!

Elliott continues to dote on her little sister, and the other day she actually had some success making her laugh. Zoey is a tough audience, and though she smiles a lot, she doesn't laugh often. But Ellie was pulling out all the stops and loved when she would get a chuckle. Of course, by the time I got out the camera, Zoey had had enough of the laughing. But at least in the following video you can see some smiles from Zoey and the enthusiasm of Elliott's attempts to entertain her:

And speaking of growing up, remember these two?

Well, look at them now! Miles is about ten days older than Zoey, and such a little cutie. Ryan actually discovered his first tooth last night when we were visiting, and it happens to be in the exact same spot as Zoey's! As his mommy said, they're tooth twins!

It actually started snowing while we were visiting Miles' family. The view from their place is just so gorgeous and Ellie was having so much fun watching the snow, so Ryan snapped a few photos of her by the window. I think they turned out really pretty!
