donna at last | big girl tub & big girl mischief | kidney stone update

Yesterday was a day of all days (whatever that means!!!) Donna, my friend since freshman year in college, finally came for a visit and to meet little miss Elliott. She actually lives in Austin, so she is the closest in proximity of all my old friends, but we still hardly get to see each other. So we were thrilled to finally meet up again. We didn't do much but sit around and play with Ellie, eat chips and salsa, and watch a bit of Harry Potter (we are both avid fans), but it was so nice to catch up and see her and her hubby Jason again.

I don't know who's cuter, Donna or my baby!

Flirting with Jason

Today, Elliott graduated to the big girl tub. No more plastic baby bathtub! She seemed a bit confused, but was pretty chill about the big transition. Can you believe she's already gone from this...

...to this?

In the big person tub!

She is really growing up. This afternoon she was kneeling by our entertainment center, and the next thing we knew she started pulling out video games and DVD's and chucking them on the floor. I caught her red handed on video:

This is big girl mischief, is it not?

We of course need to report on Ryan's status. He is doing really well, after a successful kidney stone blasting procedure on Friday. Friday night was not very pleasant - he was in a lot of pain and extremely nauseous - but since then he's been feeling much better. He's still under the weather, but that's to be expected, as he's in the process of passing all the little fragments that were left behind. Thanks for the well wishes, everyone!

  1. Ok, so I couldn't wait until tomorrow to check the blog! I already tried it once this morning, so I was bound to not give up. Holy cow that video is ridiculously funny. She is so bad! And I officially have another new desktop background (what a surprise). But, come on, what do you think would happen with a picture of her as adorable as that one in the bathtub?! Glad Ryan is doing well but sorry he is still in some pain :( Love you!
