Daddy's hat (7/26)
So, our cat Fudge has always been on the psycho side, but it's really gotten out of control lately. Poor Fudge. I know I've been a bad mom and ignore her most of the time in favor of Elliott, and Ryan is distracted with work and Ellie as well. The result is that Fudge is extra lazy and depressed, and she occasionally lashes out at Ryan and I (never Elliott or an outsider) to gain our attention. We decided it was high time to spoil her a little and give her some much needed attention. So out came the cat toys (which she could take or leave). Small treats that she's supposed to pounce on (but doesn't) were bought. And finally, we presented her with her very own pet condo (one of those hideous carpet-covered monstrosities I swear I'd never have in my house.)
She's actually been a little better behaved since the new addition. She likes to sit on the top perch where she can observe everything and where nobody can get to her (she's a little afraid of Elliott when Ellie gets too close.) Here are a few photos of Fudge enjoying her new little hideaway:
On the hair front, we are now two weeks in and things are getting pretty exciting atop my head. I would estimate that my hair is now 1/2" (which means it has grown a whopping 1/4" in just 2 weeks) and is now entering what I like to call its "burr head" or "Monchichi" phase, where it sticks straight up all over but cannot be tamed down with product. It is only bound to get worse before it gets better. Check it out!

She is so cute in that over sized hat! I love the fact that she can entertain herself for a whole minute by taking something out, throwing it on the floor, and picking it back up to put back in its place. Ah to be a baby! Yay for Fudge! I LOVE my cat tree and so do the boys (especially Baxter). Ok, so last week I thought I heard someone talking about Monchichi and I was confused and said I had a stuffed animal with that name. Then I see your blog. I think when I was young I had no idea there were multiple Monchichis and always thought I created that name myself. Wow. What kid would have come up with such an intricate name...of COURSE I didn't make that up. Did I just forget? By the way, Daphne is having a baby (and so is Natalie her freshman roomie at the same time!)
