sicko

Elliott is an official sicko, but she should be feeling better soon. She fought a 102-103 degree fever all day Thursday and Friday, and though she woke up today without the fever, she instead had a huge red rash covering her body, including her face! We wanted to make sure she didn't have anything too serious, so to the doctor we went. Turns out she has something mild and quite classic for a baby her age - roseola. Being the awesome internet doctors we are, Ryan and I diagnosed her with roseola to begin with, but we were glad to have a licensed MD's second opinion!

Despite her feeling so bad, Elliott found herself a few happy distractions in the last few days, such as a) pooping in the bathtub just for me (yuck!), and b) donning Mommy's (now retired) headbands:

Here's a video of her from this evening playing her favorite computer game. You can hear how hoarse her poor little voice is when "singing" the alphabet song and can sort of see the rash on her face if you look closely. Normally, she does all sorts of crazy animal noises along with this game (she's an expert at the elephant, monkey, and iguana), but I don't think she was feeling up to performing tonight:
