5 months!

Holy crap! My baby is five months old today! Where did the time go? Zoey's almost a half a year old but it feels like yesterday that I was taking her tiny, squirmy, screaming self home from the hospital.

 Happy five month birthday to me!

I am happy to report that Zoey has blossomed into quite the sweet, smiley baby (unless she's tired, and then she reverts to the squirmy, screaming version of herself.) She still doesn't bless me with naps lasting any longer than 45 minutes (and that's a "good" nap), but at least I enjoy her company during her waking hours! She is growing so curious about everything around her, and seems happiest when I'm lugging her around face out in a front pack at the playground (which is funny, because I remember her kicking extra vigorously whenever she visited the playground in utero; I always said she wanted out so she could see what she was missing!) She loves watching her big sister do just about anything and also really enjoys books. When she's excited, she smacks her little arms on her chest like a baby chimpanzee - it's so funny and cute! And though she doesn't do a lot of baby babble or squealing (or laughing, much to our chagrin), she has literally spent months perfecting an absolutely astounding razz sound, which you can hear on the following video. You may want to cover up - I'm not sure if the flying spittle will reach you or not...
